SATURDAY, JULY 11, 2009 ANOTHER GOOD DAY
This was another positive day. Travis' mood was brighter, meaning, he had a greater sense of awareness about what was going on and more communicative. He was more mobile, accomplishing two good walks at a pretty good clip.
The doctor visited this afternoon, with positive news. The blood tests revealed that the blood infection was eliminated. He said he suctioned a fair bit of secretions from his lungs yesterday during the bronch and he may do it a few more times yet. When the Doctor asked Trav about what he felt about discontinuing the oxygen again Trav just pulled the prongs off his face and gave them to the doctor. He told Travis he (Dr. Nador) was quite tired - he'd been working hard to do the best for him this past week - Thank you Dr. Nador!!
All in all, he is doing well, in spite of some moments of lingering confusion
