SEPTEMBER 15 EVERYTHING GOING WELL

These past couple of weeks have continued to go well - physio and OT keep raising the bar and he's feeling it! but it's so great to see what he's capable of. He again went to Ponoka for the weekend of the 5,6 and went on some great hikes.

This past weekend Trav stayed in Edmonton in order to be able to take part in the Transplant Picnic at a park here in the city. It was a beautiful day and a great chance to meet other people have gone down this road. Thanks to Jennifer from physio for organizing this event. The most amazing thing was to watch Trav play a form of baseball/football out on the field - he even did some running (note his knees!)

His PFT's rose yesterday, for which we are very thankful - they had been pretty well sitting at the 70% mark up til then. The Doctors all seemed pleased with his progress.

We are starting to prepare for discharge back home - it's so incredible to think of how far he's come but we know there's going to be Huge adjustments once he is back in Calgary.

Yesterday, a girl we had met in the last 4 weeks here got the call for her new lungs. Her surgery lasted most of last night. I just saw her parents and she is starting to respond - a special thank you to all of you who were praying (Trav made a note last night on facebook).

Words cannot express our thanks to God or to all of you who have supported us in many ways through this journey.
