THURSDAY, JULY 9, 2009 QUESTIONS, AND NOT MANY ANSWERS

Travis had a difficult episode following his breakfast which resulted in his oxygen saturation falling to a very low level. It took about an hour to get the saturation level back up where it needs to be. It was quite a frightening time for everyone, especially Travis. After a rest, he was able to go down to physio .- Hurray! - been trying to see this happen for days (did go yesterday for a few minutes)

Tonight they are concerned that he may have a blood clot in the arm where the picc line is located. They have discontinued using the line, and have inserted two IV lines in the other arm now. (He has had many picc's in the past with never any issues like this). The new IV's are proving to be very painful, so, more pain meds! An Ultra-sound is booked for tommow to check out that arm. The frustration is getting to be quite high along with numerous other emotions.

We all thank you for your prayers, concern and comments. Those of you trying to email Cathie - we haven't been able to get her email account up and running.

  1. Travis, you are sure a fighter. Auntie Reenie sends her love your way. She has no computer, so I will do it for her. She is a prayer warrior for you. We love you lots.
